8/25/2023 0 Comments Cobalt restaurant perdido keyWe spoke to Sam McLeod, former executive chef of Cobalt who was recently promoted to Culinary Director of the restaurants – including Cosmo’s, Cobalt and the highly anticipated Luna’s, opening Spring 2016. The husband and wife team are surrounded by a talented group who have worked together for more than 15 years, originally at Bayside Grille. When you visit a place as beautiful as the Gulf Coast, you’ll probably want to spend as much time as you can outside, enjoying the sunshine, eating fresh-caught seafood, and generally living as the locals do. That must have been just what Brian and Jody Harsany were thinking when they opened Cosmo’s on Canal Road in Orange Beach, followed a few years later by Cobalt on the Perdido Pass. We welcome and look forward to returning. An Eatery Experience That Won’t Give You The Blues Cobalt Orange Beach AL We were all around pleased with our visit. Not sure who was responsible, but a nice touch was that paper goods, for kitchen and bathroom, bath soaps, dishwasher detergent, garbage sacks, and dishwashing liquid were found waiting for us. The owner was most attentive to assure that we were satisfied. Also not to be overlooked, was the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella. That made it convenient to rerun to our room as needed. It was a very short distance from our condo to the beach. The location to the beach was also a plus. For us, it is pretty much a perfect location. Grocery stores and a hardware store were within 5 minutes. In fact, we could have walked to a couple of them. The location was in the same general area as most of our favorite dining establishments. ![]() The kitchen was also well equipped with everything we needed. In fact, there was pretty much a space to put all our stuff so that we were never cluttered. There was more than enough space for all our things. The condo was so very well equipped Unlike so many places we have stayed, the air conditioner actually kept the temperature just the way we like it (cool). It was not too large, not too small, but just right ( kind of sounds like The Three Bears and we were just that cozy). The property was a perfect fit for my husband and me. We would love to return to this same property anytime but especially during this time of the year. We were so very pleased and pleasantly surprised by the perfect fit of this property to our needs and our activities.
